Basically you lay flat on your back with your arms to your sides and using your abs, pull your legs up, keeping them straight until they’re perpendicular to your body & then slowly lower them back down. (so lay on your back and point your toes at the ceiling.) up and back down = 1 

OR you could lay on your back and point your toes to the ceiling and kind of lift up your booty. up & down = 1
